Technology Application
RPMB
The RPMB (Replay Protected Memory Block) of eMMC is a secure partition within eMMC used for storing authenticated data and preventing replay attacks. The main functions of RPMB include:
1.Data legitimacy verification: When writing data, only the designated host can perform the write operation.
2.Signature mechanism: When reading data, it ensures that the data read is internal data rather than forged data.
3.Prevention of replay attacks: It uses symmetric key authentication and counters to prevent replay attacks.
LDPC
The Nand flash controller integrates a 3rd generation intelligent LDPC error correction algorithm engine, which performs hardware parallel error correction without CPU involvement. This solves the issue of high bit error rates in memory particles, ensuring product reliability.
HS400
Employing DDR (Double Data Rate) technology, data is transmitted on both the rising and falling edges of the clock. An 8-bit parallel bus combined with a Data Strobe signal enhances signal integrity. The theoretical read/write speed reaches up to 400MB/s, while the actual sustained read/write speed ranges from 250 to 350 MB/s, meeting the demands of 4K video recording, fast application startup, and more.
Power Saving
Support for Sleep, Standby, Low Power Mode, etc.
Dynamic Power Management: Automatically reduces frequency or cuts off power during idle, and quickly wakes up when active.
Dynamic Power Management
Quick Wake-up Technology: The switch time from Sleep to Active mode is <1ms, avoiding performance jitter caused by frequent start-stop cycles.
Dynamic Frequency Scaling (DVFS): Automatically adjusts the clock frequency based on the workload. It runs at full frequency during burst transmission and reduces frequency to save power during idle periods.
Command Queuing
Random read/write performance improved by 30-50%.
Reduces CPU interrupt overhead and improves system response speed.
Partition-based Concurrency Control
Supports multiple logical partitions: Boot, RPMB, GP, User, etc. for concurrent access to independent areas.
Concurrency advantages:
During system startup: Boot partition read + User partition preload in parallel.
In security scenarios: RPMB authentication + User data read/write do not block each other.
